Lilith's legacy is an ancient one that cannot be ignored. She is the symbol of liberation in all its forms, our first dark Mother who sets us free from bondage. Before Eve there was Lilith. Her lineage stemming from Sumer and Mesopotamia with her connection to Inanna. The first written reference to Lilith is the Epic Gilgamesh, written around 2700 BCE. She is a symbol of the holy fire of creation and severity. The dark mother who assists us in seeing and revealing the darkest aspects of self so we may return to unity with our inner Sophia Light and the divine. Lilith frees us from the false matrix. She gifts us the fruit, the apple from the Tree of wisdom, the Tree of Life.
